Pioneer Trek

Well, Tim and I were able to go on Pioneer Trek with our Stake from July 29-Aug. 1. We had a great time. We really enjoyed being involved with so many great people in preparing for the trek. Tim and I were called a year ago to be the Ma/Pa Trainers. Most of our hard work was done prior to trek in preparing the Ma/pa's for trek. I really enjoyed working with Tim - I think we make a great team!
Me with my good friend Robyn!! I love this girl!

Tim is lookin' hot with his scruffy mountain man beard. He played the part of Ephraim Hanks on the trail and he wanted to look the part!

Weekend in Idaho

Ethan riding a little train at a park in Idaho.
We went to Idaho for the weekend of July 24-25 so that Tim could play in a disc golf tournament with his brothers. They had a great time, but I have no pictures from it - sorry! The women stayed at Chuck and Laura's house with the kids and celebrated Ethan's 'real' birthday as well as visiting the park. It was a really fun weekend. It is always nice to be with family and the cousins love to be together!

Ethan making a wish - he was really thinking about it. Laura and I made this Caterpillar cupcake - we had fun decorating it.

Ethan's 4th Birthday Party

Well, Ethan had his 4th birthday party at Jumpin' Jacks on July 23, 2009! We thought we would grant this big birthday wish since he had been blessing the "jumping park" in his prayers every night for the last year! He had a great time with lots of friends and cousins and family there. He wanted a jungle theme so we got the jungle party room and I even made him a tiger cake! I love my sweet little Ethan and the amazing person that he has become in just the 4 years he's been on this earth!! I love his sweet nature and loving concern for everyone around him. I especially love his enthusiasm for life and everything! He often wakes up in the morning saying "Good morning world" or "Wow, I love pancakes, thanks Mom!" Ethan is so smart and clever. I love seeing him learn and try new things! Ethan loves big words; here are some he has used, and even used correctly: extremely, spectacular, diagonally, cacophony, tympani, and fantastic!! We love you Ethan - Happy Birthday!

Wrestling with Grandpa

Nothing beats wrestling with Grandpa - especially when Grandpa is a bigger kid at heart than the grandkids are :)!!! Eli and grandpa were having a great time and I just had to catch this cute moment with them.
Harvey even wanted in on the fun. Grandpa really played it up and Eli thought he was so strong when he jump on Grandpa and he would tumble to the floor. Thanks for making Eli feel so strong, Grandpa!!

4th of July 2009

We had a great 4th of July - yes I know it is the end of August, but I am trying to catch up from a busy summer! We started the day by walking to the end of our street for some great seats to see the West Jordan Parade. It was a great city parade and the kids loved it. Wendy and her kids joined us (her Tim was out of town). Later that day, we went over to my parents house for a yummy bar-b-que!! Dad always makes some good grub. Dave and Janie and their kids were there as well as Dan and Lisa (my mom was out of town in Kentucky, so we missed her). The cousins had fun together as always and then later we did some small fireworks in front of my parents house. It brought back good memories for me - we always did fireworks in front of our house with all of our neighbors! The kids had fun and so did we. Watching the parade on Redwood Rd.
We are sportin' some festive sunglasses!!!

Camping at Lagoon July 2-3 2009

We went camping at Lagoon with our awesome friends Dave and Emmilee Wells and their cute kids Braxton and Graycee. We had a great time together even though it was very hot and the kids got a little grumpy at times. We want to make this a yearly tradition! Yeah for good friends and good memories!

Just Like Daddy!

Ethan LOVES to do things just like his Daddy! This includes cooking, baking yummy treats, working in the garden and mowing the lawn! I just had to catch this cute moment of Ethan just 2 steps behind his Daddy while mowing the lawn. Ethan is such a hard worker. He stays outside with Tim until the bitter end - even if it takes hours to finish mowing the lawn. Man, I am sure lucky to have such hard workers around!

Slippin' -n- Slidin'

So, the boys LOVE to play in the water and what is better than the slip-n-slide?! It is not only entertaining for those doing the slip-n-slide, but it is also soooo much fun for us watching! They didn't quite get the hang of "sliding", but they were pros at the "slipping" part. Eli wore himself out so much that he had to stop and take a drink from the slide. I think he finally got a good drink after getting a few skirts up his nose! We all had a great time!

Eli really got the "slipping" part down great!
You're lookin' good Ethan!!

Simple Pleasures!!

So, the other day I saw Ethan and Eli having a great time doing something vey simple. They discoverd that the handle to the door of the stove is hollow and they could talk and send noises back and forth to eachother through this hollow "pipe." They were laughing so much and so was I. I love simple pleasures!

Young Womens Camp

Soaring on a mountain top with our capes of integrity!!

Well, it was a month ago now, but I was able to go to girls camp from June 24-27!!! It was a total blast and so much fun to be with all the incredible girls and amazing leaders. We were the Integra-girls super heroes - cloaked in integrity!!! It was so nice to be up in nature and to feel so much closer to my Heavenly Father and so many of His daughters! I know that God loves us each individually and I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful world that was created for us! A couple weeks after we got home from camp, I was released as YW 1st counselor. I am sad to not be so closely involved in young womens with such amazing youth, but I am grateful for the good times I have enjoyed with them over the last few years! There is nothing quite like the young womens program and especially girls camp!!
Doing our skit for the whole stake!
Beth getting ready to jump off the zip line platform - it was soooo fun!

Roasting marshmellows with the girls!
